The FAA will be holding a Safety Stand Down December 3-4. On these dates, the FAA will host a series of online safety seminars targeted at aircraft maintenance technicians and other repair station personnel. Up to four hours of AMT & IA credit is available each day on maintenance subjects. The following subjects will be covered:

Concorde Battery Corporation sadly announces the passing of Don Grunke. Grunke was a friend to all and a stranger to none. He worked as an application engineer for Concorde Battery. The following is from his Obituary:

The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is temporarily waiving minimum slot-use requirements at U.S. airports to help airlines that cancel flights due to the Coronavirus.

Under normal circumstances, airlines can lose their slots at congested airports if they don’t use them at least 80 percent of the time.
