On these dates, the FAA will host a series of online safety seminars targeted at aircraft maintenance technicians and other repair station personnel. Up to four hours of AMT & IA credit is available each day on maintenance subjects. The following subjects will be covered:

CO Fire Aviation has a new tool to combat fires at night. Aviation Specialties Unlimited, Inc., (ASU) has modified an Air Tractor AT-802F for night vision goggle (NVG) operations, giving pilots an increased advantage in safety and effectiveness at night.

Hartzell Receives STC for 2- & 3-Blade  Composite Top Props for Maule STOL

Hartzell Propeller's carbon fiber composite two- and three-blade Trailblazer replacement props for Maule short takeoff and landing (STOL) aircraft have received a supplemental type certificate (STC). Hartzell's 80-inch diameter Top Props can replace Hartzell and McCauley propellers on the backcountry aircraft.

Banyan Air Service, based at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport, completes its first installation of a Gogo AVANCE L5 system on a Bombardier Challenger 300. The project involved the removal of the interior, installation of the L5 system, re-installation of the interior and the final touch-up paint. The project was completed in less than three weeks, without any discrepancies, and within the projected budget.

Duncan Aviation announces that its Lincoln, NE, FBO facility has gained the International Standard for Business Aircraft Handling (IS-BAH) Stage I accreditation. IS-BAH, developed by the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC) and the National Air Transportation Association (NATA), is a set of global industry best practices for business aviation ground handlers that features at its core a safety management system (SMS).
