StandardAero Business Aviation, the only OEM-authorized HTF7000 heavy maintenance MRO in the world, is continuing its investments and readiness to service customers on-wing, remotely and in the company’s maintenance facilities.

Elliott Aviation, a Garmin retrofitter, is pursuing an ADS-B Out/In STC for legacy Hawker 800A/800XP/1000 airframes. The solution will have seamless integration with the RMU/RCZ radio package. It will not only allow operators to meet ADS-B Out requirements, but it will provide ADS-B In information to be displayed on a Bluetooth-connected mobile device with Garmin’s Flight Stream app. The STC is expected to cost aircraft operators considerably less than current available ADS-B options.

FlightSafety International’s new FlightBag application is receiving outstanding customer reviews. More than 16,000 pilots and maintenance technicians have started using this newly enhanced courseware delivery and presentation application since it was introduced in late July. They have already downloaded in excess of 1.5 million training documents.

FlightSafety is expanding its maintenance training program to include new composite materials courses. The training will be offered in conjunction with Abaris Training Resources, Inc., through FlightSafety’s Maintenance Learning Center in Wichita, KS.

StandardAero Business Aviation announces it recently surpassed more than 19,000 Honeywell TFE731 turbofan engine core zone inspections (CZIs) and major periodic inspections (MPIs) since first servicing the engine nearly 40 years ago.  In addition to the heavy-maintenance services, the company has also responded to more than 5,000 customer requests for mobile services and performed thousands of other services on TFE731 engines.

Global aeronautical communications provider Satcom Direct (SD) announces it has agreed to acquire TrueNorth Avionics, a company based in Ottawa, Canada, that offers the latest technology in cabin communications solutions. With the purchase of TrueNorth, SD significantly expands its ability to provide advanced communications systems for business aviation aircraft.

Air BP becomes the first aviation fuel supplier to achieve carbon neutrality for its into-plane fuelling services across an international network of over 250 Air BP-operated facilities. The achievement follows a two-year journey and was assured by the independent sustainability specialist company, ERM CVS, Ltd.
