NBAA Announces New Roles for Damato and Broom, Thanks Lutz for Her Service

The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) announces new and expanded responsibilities for two senior team members and thanks a third leader, who announced plans to step down from the association earlier this year. Jo Damato, CAM, has been named senior vice president of events and professional engagement, and Andrew Broom has been named chief revenue officer. The changes come as Laurie Lutz, senior vice president of events, concludes her planned departure from NBAA this month.

StandardAero’s engine overhaul center in San Antonio, TX, completes correlation of its first test cell for the CFM International LEAP-1A turbofan engine, thereby achieving another milestone in its introduction of LEAP-1A and LEAP-1B maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) capabilities. The San Antonio facility is now able to undertake LEAP-1A functional and performance engine-testing for Airbus A320neo family customers.

Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. announces its successful completion of ground emissions testing of 100% neat sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) containing zero sulfur on the all-new Gulfstream G700. Powered by Rolls-Royce Pearl 700 engines, the G700 ground emissions test was conducted to measure multiple fuel types, including a 30/70 SAF blend and neat SAF (a non-fossil-based aviation fuel). The preliminary results of these tests will inform the industry’s path in further reducing the overall climate impact of business aviation.
