Dassault Falcon Jet, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dassault Aviation, marks the opening of a major new maintenance facility at Melbourne Orlando International Airport (KMLB). This facility represents a significant expansion of Dassault’s presence in the Americas and reflects the company’s long-term commitment to customer support, operational excellence, and regional investment. It is one of the recent additions to Dassault Aviation’s global maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) network.

With the acquisition of TrueNorth complete, SD significantly expands its ability to provide advanced communications systems for VIP and VVIP aircraft. Satcom Direct will be explaining the benefits of the new deal to Middle Eastern delegates attending MEBAA 2016 at Booth #477.

Beechcraft Introduces Special Mission Enhancements for the King Air 350 Platform

Beechcraft Corporation, a subsidiary of Textron Aviation Inc., a Textron Inc. (NYSE:TXT) company, announces at the Middle East and North Africa Business Aviation Association (MEBAA) conference in Dubai that the company is now offering Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-67A engines for improved performance on its King Air 350HW and King Air 350ER turboprops. In addition, the company is offering an increased gross weight option for these platforms, increasing the maximum takeoff weight to 17,500 pounds. Both enhancements are now FAA- and EASA-certified and offered as factory options for new aircraft or as aftermarket modifications.

STS Line Maintenance to Expand

In what some consider to be a surprise expansion move, STS Line Maintenance, a division of STS Aviation Group, plans to open aircraft maintenance stations in Boston, Burbank, Denver, Newark, New York (JFK), Orlando, Minneapolis, Omaha, Phoenix and Ft. Myers, following HAECO Americas Line Services’ announcement earlier this year that it would close its stations at those airports by Dec. 31.
