Duncan Aviation, after delivering an industry-first earlier this summer, is ready to install on Citation Sovereign aircraft the FAA-approved Transitional Winglet from Winglet Technology, LLC.  A second winglet installation is scheduled to begin in mid-September.

ExxonMobil announces that Mobil JetTM Oil 387, a synthetic High Performance Capability turbine engine oil, has been approved by Pratt & Whitney for use in its PurePower® PW1100G-JM and PW1400G-JM Geared TurbofanTM engines.

Duncan Aviation announces that its Satellite Avionics Shop in Atlanta, GA, has upgraded the Rockwell Collins TDR-94Ds on a Gulfstream 200, bringing the aircraft into compliance with the FAA’s mandate for Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) Out. Although not a first for Duncan Aviation, this was the first time the company’s Atlanta shop had completed the work.

Scandinavian Avionics A/S in Denmark has completed a purchase with Latitude Technologies Corporation for four S200/RC6000A systems for installation into Dornier 228 aircraft. In addition, Scandinavian Avionics Design has developed the EASA approved STC for this purpose. Pro Star Aviation, with support from its in-house Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) delegation and in partnership with Honeywell Aerospace, obtains approval from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for multiple-use supplemental type certificate (STC) ST00383BO for installation of a Honeywell DLMU-W (wireless data LAN management unit) in support of Honeywell Primus EPIC™ avionics systems.

Duncan Aviation officially adds its 16th Rapid Response engine launch site, this one located in Columbus, OH, at the John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH). Area operators now have more convenient access to Duncan Aviation’s mobile engine services, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, AOG support, and even engine changes.

Pentastar Aviation, an authorized Honeywell dealer, adds seven additional airframes to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approved model list (AML) supplemental type certificate (STC) ST04194CH for certification of Honeywell’s DU-875 flight-deck display upgrade. The airframes include: Cessna 550, 560 and 560XL; Cessna 750; Dassault Mystere-Falcon 900 and Falcon 900 EX and Learjet 45 series. The DU-875 is a form-fit, plug-n-play LCD upgrade that will replace the soon-to-be obsolete DU-870 CRT displays found in older aircraft.
