TSO-C173a authorization confirms that the batteries meet the minimum operational performance standards (MOPS) set forth by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Radio Technical Commission for Aeronautics (RTCA) in DO-293A.

PPG (NYSE:PPG) introduces a new, battery-powered, aerospace-sealant dispensing tool that is easier to use than traditional manual and pneumatic applicators and dispenses at faster rates. The SEMCO® model 1250 sealant tool weighs less than three pounds and is ergonomically designed with cordless and hoseless operation, compared with a standard Semco 250A dispensing tool that weighs about two pounds and is typically tethered to a 10-foot hose.
