Business aviation leaders plan to gather at the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS) April 25 to debate the future of the business aviation industry, the first Society event of its kind dedicated to this sector. Supported by the British Business and General Aviation Association, the ‘Time to Rethink Business Aviation’ evening will run from 18:00-20:00.

Representatives of Brant Aero, a division of the Progressive Air Group, announce that the company has formed a dedicated turbine-engine maintenance group and has selected industry veteran Mitch Callaghan to head the new group.

Gogo Business Aviation (NASDAQ: GOGO), a global provider of aircraft connectivity products and services, continues to progress toward the launch of its 4G service in the first half of 2017. Pentastar Aviation is issued Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) supplemental type certificate (STC) ST04188CH for certification of compatibility of wireless data technologies on Gulfstream Aerospace GIV-X (G350/G450) series aircraft. Award of this STC allows operators to approve the use of transmitting portable electronic devices (TPED) onboard aircraft with wireless networks or Wi-Fi hot spots for their passengers.

Gulfstream Aerospace Corp.’s G500 flight-test program continues to make significant progress toward the aircraft’s anticipated 2017 certification by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
