DAS Aviation, an FAA Part 145 Repair Station, announces the acquisition of AQRD (Aerospace Quality Research and Development), an FAA Part 145 Repair Station and aerospace engineering firm headquartered in Addison, TX. The combination creates a single integrated off-wing services platform that includes engineering, component repair, composites, and parts.

The FAA will be holding a Safety Stand Down December 3-4. On these dates, the FAA will host a series of online safety seminars targeted at aircraft maintenance technicians and other repair station personnel. Up to four hours of AMT & IA credit is available each day on maintenance subjects. The following subjects will be covered:

CSI Aviation, Inc., a New Mexico-based international air charter services and logistics company, announces it has been certified by the U.S. military’s Commercial Airlift Review Board (CARB) to operate on-demand passenger, cargo and air medical flights for the Department of Defense (DoD). CARB certification is among the highest safety standard certifications that can be achieved by an air carrier, and CSI is now one of only a few air carriers worldwide to have this certification. 

StandardAero signs a letter of intent with Rolls-Royce to provide engine MRO services for the RB211-535E4 program for the life of the engine type. The award designates StandardAero as the Rolls-Royce end-of-life engine maintenance service partner. Rolls-Royce RB211-535E4 engines are anticipated to remain in commercial airline service until the year 2040.
