Gogo (NASDAQ: GOGO) announces that the Gogo Galileo HDX terminal has received Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) supplemental type certification (STC) approvals for the Dassault Falcon 2000 aircraft family. Dassault Falcon Jet in Little Rock, AR, worked closely with Gogo to obtain the STC modification, which is now available for installation from Dassault Falcon Jet and its Authorized Service Center (ASC) network.

GTCC Aviation Instructor Honored with FAA Award

Larry Belton, program director for the Aviation Electronics Technology program at Guilford Technical Community College, gains national recognition for his many years in the aviation industry by receiving the Charles Taylor Master Mechanic Award from the Federal Aviation Administration. The Charles Taylor Master Mechanic Award recognizes the lifetime accomplishments of senior mechanics serving more than 50 years of civil and/or military maintenance experience in the aviation industry. 

AAR (NYSE: AIR), a provider of aviation services to commercial and government operators, MROs and OEMs, announces it has formed an Aviation Safety and Training Committee (the “ASTC”) at the board of directors (“board”) level. The ASTC will be comprised of three independent directors, with retired United States Air Force General Duncan J. McNabb, who last served as the ninth Commander, United States Transportation Command, serving as chair, and Robert F. Leduc and Jennifer L. Vogel joining him as committee members. The ASTC will assist the board in the oversight of aviation safety matters relating to AAR’s operations, including training employees, promoting a robust safety culture and helping ensure the delivery of services and products with safety as the highest priority.
