Quality Aircraft Accessories (QAA), which reports to Hartzell Engine Tech, officially reopens its general-aviation MRO and parts distribution facility after fully modernizing and doubling the Tulsa operations' footprint. One of the company’s primary goals for the business transformation is to further shorten turn-times and increase throughput for repairs and overhauls while continuing to refine the quality of products.

EAGLE Initiative Making Progress

The Eliminate Aviation Gasoline Lead Emissions (EAGLE) initiative executive committee announces Robert Olislagers as senior coordinator of the initiative, as well as announces that the International Council of Air Shows (ICAS) and National Association of State Aviation Officials (NASAO) have joined EAGLE’s executive committee. It also formally introduces the leads for the initiative’s key focus pillars.

Business-aviation groups put forward a set of policy principles to guide long-term carbon emissions reductions in the lead-up to the 41st International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Triennial Assembly convening this week. ICAO, a United Nations agency, convenes its 193 member states every three years to set worldwide aviation policy. The next triennial meeting will be held in Montreal from Sept. 27 to Oct. 7.
