Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. announces Murtaza Hassan has been named general manager of the Gulfstream St. Louis facility. He oversees service center operations, including safety, quality, customer satisfaction and continuous improvement. Hassan reports to Joseph Rivera, vice president, Service Center Operations.

Aviation Institute of Maintenance’s (AIM) Philadelphia campus will award veteran students, eligible for Post-9/11 (Chapter 33) benefits at the 100% coverage level, a grant that will cover any out-of-pocket tuition costs after their VA benefits and any Pell grants have been applied as long as they do not participate in the federal Title IV Loan programs. The grant is only offered at AIM’s Philadelphia campus.

The National Business Aviation Association’s (NBAA’s) Maintenance Committee announces the recipients of 2020 Maintenance AMT Scholarships at the conclusion of the association’s NBAA GO Virtual Maintenance Conference. More than $400,000 in awards was presented to the recipients.

King Aerospace welcomes Ron Soret back to its team. Soret has been a longtime friend of the company. He served as president of King Aerospace Commercial Corporation prior to joining AERIA Luxury Interiors in 2011 as vice president and general manager of completions.

The National Air Transportation Association (NATA) announces that Jason Tepool, business development executive for Boeing, has been named chairman of its Aircraft Maintenance and Systems Technology Committee. Tepool served on the committee for two years prior to his appointment. Phil Stearns, director, Sales & Marketing for Stevens Aerospace and Defense Systems, LLC, will continue in his role as committee co-chair. The announcement follows a recent meeting where Tepool and Stearns outlined the near-term and long-term direction of the committee. 

Flying Colours Corp. continues to satisfy market demand for 192-month inspections as heavy maintenance checks on a trio of Bombardier Challenger-family aircraft continue at its St. Louis, MO, facility. The work highlights the North American MRO’s expertise in supporting the ongoing maintenance requirements of the international Bombardier Challenger fleet. 

C&L Aerospace, a C&L Aviation Group Company, now offers PPG cockpit windshields for business and regional aircraft. C&L’s global warehouses, which are located in the United Kingdom, Australia and the United States, will stock the cockpit windshields.

Western Aircraft, a Greenwich AeroGroup company, announces it is undertaking its second major expansion in six years. The new 93,000-square-foot addition on Western’s existing 18-acre leasehold will more than double its existing MRO operating space.

Aviation Institute of Maintenance (AIM), Norfolk campus, announces Harry Dugan as a recipient of a $2,500 scholarship awarded by the AMFA. Each year, the AMFA awards two scholarships to airframe and powerplant students who stand out for their grades and application essay.
