It’s time to let our voices be heard. We need to do our part to participate in the Federal Government’s rulemaking process. The FAA recently published a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) titled Mechanic Certification: Inspection Rating and Recent Experience Requirements in the Federal Register. The proposed rule will affect FAA certified mechanics with Inspection Authorization.

Elbit Systems Ltd. (NASDAQ: ESLT and TASE: ESLT) (“Elbit Systems” or “the Company”) announces it has completed the acquisition of the assets and operations of the privately owned U.S. company Universal Avionics Systems Corporation (“Universal Avionics”) for a purchase price of approximately $120 million.

FACC Introduces Aftermarket Services as New Business Area

FACC, an aerospace company, taps into new business areas. Together with Austrian Airlines, an important launch customer, FACC presents its latest product innovation, the “Passenger Luggage Space Upgrade.” The interiors product, as well as the new business segment, Aftermarket Services, were presented at this year's Aircraft Interiors Expo, AIX, in Hamburg.

Arago, an artificial intelligence (AI) company specializing in intelligent business process automation, and AVIATAR, an integrated software platform for digital products and services in the aviation industry, plan to work together on the progressive automation of the MRO (maintenance, repair and overhaul) process. A pilot project will be launched in the Base Maintenance division of Lufthansa Technik, using Arago's AI platform, HIRO.

StandardAero is awarded an exclusive, three-year agreement to provide Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) PW127M engine maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO) services for Vietnam Airlines’ fully owned subsidiary, Vietnam Air Service Company (VASCO). Under the contract, StandardAero will provide engine MRO services in support of VASCO’s fleet of ATR 72-500 aircraft from its P&WC PW100 designated overhaul facility (DOF) in Gonesse, France.

StandardAero Component Services (SACS) announces it is unifying its Jet Aviation Specialists (JAS) and PAS Technologies brands underneath a single StandardAero Components Services brand name, effective immediately.

Honeywell (NYSE: HON) announces the availability of its newest satellite communications system, the Aspire 400, which provides aircraft flight crews and passengers with access to worldwide voice and data connectivity and provides pilots with critical cockpit safety services. The compact and lightweight system for business jets and commercial or military aircraft provides connectivity to both the cockpit and the cabin simultaneously, which in turn results in safer, more efficient and more comfortable flights than previously possible.

StandardAero expands its line replaceable unit (LRU) and engine health monitoring (EHM) service offerings for the Bombardier CRJ, Embraer E-Jet and other regional aircraft platforms. Its signature bundled engine and auxiliary power unit (APU) LRU offerings for the Bombardier CRJ 700/900/1000 and Embraer E-Jet 170/190 have now been expanded to include the CRJ 100 and 200 aircraft.
