Armstrong joins the DAS team with more than 30 years of aviation experience ranging from composite/sheet metal repair and manufacturing to component overhaul. He began his career in 1986 as a technician and has since held leadership roles at Aerocell Structures and Aero Fabricators. Armstrong received training in non-destructive testing and advanced composites during his studies at National Park College where he took courses in Aviation Business Management.

REBTECH announces the final completion of a night vision-compatible conversion of the Air Tractor AT-502, 502A, 502B and AT-504 agricultural spray aircraft. The aircraft is owned and operated by Dean Heimermann, owner of Countryside Aviation in Chilton, WI.

Concorde Battery Corporation announces receipt of TSO-C173a, Technical Standard Order Authorization for the RG24-15, RG24-15M and RG24-16 13.6 Ah family of sealed lead-acid batteries. TSO-C173a authorization confirms that the batteries meet the minimum operational performance standards (MOPS) set forth by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Radio Technical Commission for Aeronautics (RTCA) in DO-293A.

Av8 MRO announces Jean-Claude Kouyo as its new International Marketing and Sales manager. Kouyo has 19 years of experience in the aviation industry where he worked in sales, maintenance training, flight operations, FBO and corporate flight management. His prior experience includes roles with FlightSafety Europe as its International Marketing manager covering Africa, Middle East and Europe markets. He then transitioned into a position at Corporate Elite Group as acting managing director based in Cote D'Ivoire, West Africa, for 10 years.

PPG (NYSE:PPG) introduces a new, battery-powered, aerospace-sealant dispensing tool that is easier to use than traditional manual and pneumatic applicators and dispenses at faster rates. The SEMCO® model 1250 sealant tool weighs less than three pounds and is ergonomically designed with cordless and hoseless operation, compared with a standard Semco 250A dispensing tool that weighs about two pounds and is typically tethered to a 10-foot hose.

Jet Aviation celebrates the opening of a new hangar and fixed-base operation (FBO) terminal at Hanscom Field in Boston/Bedford with a welcome reception on June 8, 2017. More than 80 guests, including customers and industry members, attended the event.

Dallas Aeronautical Services (DAS) announces Eliezer (Eli) da Silva as its new vice president of Sales & Marketing. Eli began his career at DAS in May of 2009, assisting the company with planning its future expansion into the Brazilian, Central and South American markets. He holds a Jurisprudence Doctorate degree from Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo, Brazil.
