Now Open for Submissions, Sherwin-Williams® Aerospace Coatings Announces 2027 Calendar Contest

Sherwin-Williams Aerospace Coatings announces a call for entries for its annual 2027 Aerospace Coatings Calendar, which features top-tier paint jobs on aircraft utilizing its coatings. Now in its ninth year, the contest receives a growing record number of submissions representing a broad range of designs and finishes.

The annual competition highlights expert, artistic and technical skill in the art of aircraft finishing. It recognizes outstanding work by painters and refinishers using Sherwin-Williams aerospace topcoats and systems. The contest is aimed at showcasing the best-finished aircraft, including general aviation, commercial aviation, helicopters and custom-painted planes, from maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) as well as original equipment manufacturer (OEM) facilities.

“Our annual calendar celebrates the incredible craftsmanship, creativity and attention to detail that define the aerospace finishing community,” says Julie Voisin, Sherwin-Williams' market segment manager for Aerospace. “From business jets to custom aircraft, each entry reflects a commitment to excellence. This contest is an opportunity for both painters and aircraft owners to showcase their work, gain industry recognition, and be featured among some of the most outstanding finishes across North America.”

The cover of this year’s 2026 Sherwin-Williams Aerospace Coatings Calendar featured a stunning Embraer Phenom 300 painted by Corrigan Air Center in Hondo, TX, based on an inspiring design by Scheme Designers of Cresskill, NJ. This spectacular aircraft was finished in Sherwin-Williams 855 Series SKYscapes® General Aviation coatings.

Submit a project for the 2027 Sherwin-Williams Aerospace Coatings Calendar by Aug. 14, 2026, for the opportunity to be recognized among the industry’s best, featured in a calendar distributed across North America and highlighted across Sherwin-Williams marketing channels.

All calendar aircraft entries are required to be finished exclusively with Sherwin-Williams Aerospace coatings, such as SKYscapes®, JetGlo®, AcryGlo® or SKYscapes® basecoat-clearcoat paint systems. Entrants are also encouraged to include a short video showcasing the aircraft or sharing the story behind the project, highlighting what made it a success, unique or especially memorable. Selected videos may be featured across Sherwin-Williams marketing channels.

Winners of the 2027 Aerospace Coatings Annual Calendar Contest will be announced in early November 2026. Each selected entry will be featured in a dedicated month of the printed calendar. Winners will receive 20 complimentary copies of the calendar, providing a valuable opportunity to share their work with customers, partners and teams.

In addition, each featured aircraft will be tagged in a social media spotlight during its designated month, helping to expand visibility and recognition within the aerospace community.
