Paul Lewandowski Named Program Manager of Government Programs at Duncan Aviation

Duncan Aviation announces that Paul Lewandowski has joined Duncan Aviation’s Government Programs as a program manager. In this role, Lewandowski will be responsible for expanding the company's business within the government, military, and special projects sectors while continuing to deliver outstanding customer service. He will focus on both maintaining existing contracts and pursuing new opportunities.
"Paul's extensive experience and deep understanding of regulatory requirements make him the ideal person for this position," says Dave Shipperbottom, manager of Government Programs at Duncan Aviation's Lincoln facility. "He has a proven track record of ensuring projects are returned to service efficiently and in full compliance. His skills will be instrumental in enhancing our position as a government subcontractor."
Lewandowski brings more than three decades of aviation experience to his new role. He first joined Duncan Aviation 24 years ago as the manager of Audit Programs and has served as chief inspector since 2007. He was also a DAR (designated airworthiness representative) and is currently a DME (designated mechanic examiner).
His aviation career began as a gate agent for Continental Airlines while he earned his A&P (airframe and powerplant) certification. After receiving his A&P, he worked as a mechanic performing line maintenance on 727 and 737 commercial aircraft. He later earned a Bachelor of Science degree in aviation management from Metropolitan State College of Denver, with minors in maintenance and marketing. Before joining Duncan Aviation, Lewandowski served as the director of Safety and Quality Control at United Express and as a senior technical representative with Rolls-Royce.
In his free time, Lewandowski enjoys running, cycling and home-improvement projects. He and his wife, Terri, have six children and four grandchildren.
