Role Summary * This role is responsible for performing and supporting aircraft maintenance and production activities on military and civilian aircraft. The technician will apply technical expertise to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and verify aircraft systems and components in compliance with safety and regulatory standards. This position requires flexibility for deployment and travel, as well as the ability to work variable shifts and under minimal supervision. Education / Job Requirements * Must have a High School diploma/GED or equivalent education. * Must have a minimum of 4 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., vocational school/Associate + 2 years of related work, Bachelor, etc.). * Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in military or civilian aircraft maintenance and/or production. * Must be willing and able (on potentially short notice) to deploy or travel to domestic and international locations for a variety of deployment durations to meet customer needs and the statement of work. Failure to deploy/travel without compelling reasons may be considered resignation. * Must be willing to work variable shifts, including weekends, overtime, and potentially rotating shifts. Preferred Skills * Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting a P-8A Poseidon, 737, and 4790 maintenance organization. * Experience working with U.S. Navy Advanced Skills Management (ASM). * Experience supporting a maintenance organization. Job Duties / Functions * Will perform the change, removal, replacement, or upgrade of aircraft components to correct failures or implement changes. * Will perform troubleshooting of complex avionics, pneumatic, hydraulic, engine, and structural components and systems. * Will ensure validation/verification of testing systems and components. * Will document procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications, and inspection results). * Will inspect components and verify repairs for flight-worthiness requirements. * Will perform tasks associated with the safe handling of an aircraft. * Will provide Advanced Skills Management (ASM) certification to government personnel. * Will work under minimal supervision. * Will apply professional technical expertise to solve complex problems by interpreting technical data such as blueprints or manufacturerrsquo;s manuals. * Will perform all maintenance actions in accordance with CNAFINST 4790.2 series processes and procedures. * Will identify the material and special tools needed to accomplish daily work assignments. * May be required to support detachments away from the Main Operating Base (MOB). * Will complete temporary assignments to Whidbey Island, Washington, for up to 8 weeksrsquo; duration.
