Job Title: Quality Control TechnicianJob DescriptionWe are searching for an experienced and highly-analytical Inspector to join our Quality Engineering team. As a Quality Inspector, you will uphold the quality regulations of our company and perform the quality inspection process to guarantee that all our products meet expectations before moving to the manufacturing line. You will perform regular product evaluations, record inspection results, and recommend improvements to the quality process. To excel in this role, you will demonstrate great attention to detail with excellent technical and analytical abilities.Responsibilities

  • Perform regular quality assessments on all incoming materials from suppliers, as well as outgoing products.
  • Reject all products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations.
  • Read drawings, plans, and specifications to understand the requirements of materials and parts.
  • Measure product dimensions, examine functionality and compare the final product to the requirements.
  • Recommend improvements to the production process to ensure quality controls and continuous improvement.
  • Document inspection outcomes by completing inspection plans and performance records.
  • Resolve quality-related immediate inspection needs in a timely manner.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with quality inspection and blueprint reading.
  • Proficiency in using various digital measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Understanding of cross commodities including PCBAs, metals, 3D printed parts, motors, electronics, and composites.
  • Ability to use spreadsheets and perform electrical troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of quality control practices.

Additional Skills Qualifications

  • Understanding of GD T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Ability to work collaboratively with engineers and lead quality engineers.
  • Experience with inspection tools and techniques.

You will work alongside 2 Quality Inspectors, Engineers, and a Lead Quality Engineer. The shift is Monday to Friday, from 7 am to 4 pm, with flexibility to accommodate changing needs, including some Saturdays or Sundays. The dress code is casual, promoting a relaxed yet professional atmosphere.Job Type LocationThis is a Contract position based out of San Francisco, California.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $33.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
