The Quality Control (QC) Inspector is responsible for conducting in-process and final inspections of aerospace machining components and assemblies to ensure they meet all engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards. The inspector uses precision measuring instruments, including Keyence and Contracer systems, to verify product conformity and support production teams in identifying and resolving quality issues.Job DescriptionResponsibilities

  • Perform in-process and final inspections of aerospace parts and assemblies for dimensional and visual compliance
  • Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, Keyence measurement systems, and Contracer surface profiling instruments
  • Interpret engineering drawings and specifications, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GDT)
  • Complete and maintain inspection documentation, including nonconformance reports (QNs)
  • Identify and document nonconforming materials and ensure appropriate segregation and escalation
  • Support Out of Flow (OOF) activities with inspection results and data
  • Ensure adherence to AS9100, internal QMS policies and procedures, and customer-specific quality requirements throughout the inspection and production process
  • Verify calibration status and proper care of inspection tools and equipment
  • Participate in internal audits, assist with corrective actions, and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with production and quality teams to refine inspection methods and support process improvements.

Required QualificationsEducation:High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in manufacturing or inspection is preferredExperience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality inspection in aerospace or a precision manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on experience with Keyence and/or Contracer measurement equipment preferred

Skills:

  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and apply GDT
  • Proficient in the use of standard mechanical inspection tools
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office excel, inspection data bases and non-conforming material repo systems.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 standard and Aerospace Quality Management Procedures
