Robert Montano Named Duncan Aviation Engine Tech Rep for Rolls-Royce Support

In response to customers’ growing needs for Rolls-Royce engine support, Duncan Aviation adds a new tech position at its Lincoln, NE, headquarters. Robert Montano has been tapped as an Engine Tech rep, providing troubleshooting and technical support to Rolls-Royce engine customers and Duncan Aviation engine line-maintenance teams.
Montano served six years in the United States Army working on Blackhawk, Apache and OH58 helicopters, performing engine line work, overhauls and hot sections. After his service, he went on to earn his A&P license from Crimson Technical College in Inglewood, CA.
He joined Duncan Aviation in 2014 as an engine line technician working the weekend second shift. He has held increasing positions of responsibility, most recently as a lead tech for the Duncan Aviation Engine Line shop, demonstrating a high degree of technical expertise and dedication to customer service.
“Robert is already our single point of contact to our Rolls-Royce customers. He has brought consistency and structure to our Rolls-Royce post lease inspection processes,” says Brad Wales, Duncan Aviation’s Engine Line assistant manager. “Our customers and other engine technicians have come to trust his technical opinions, calling him in to take the lead during complicated Rolls-Royce maintenance events.”
In his spare time, Robert likes to hang out with his wife, Crystal, and their four kids. They spend a lot of time together, watching and participating in youth sports activities.
