Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pmPrimary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Own and maintain basic hand tools and test equipment to perform assigned tasks.
  • Conduct repairs on metal and composite structures
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings
  • Perform major repairs on airframe sheet metal or composite
  • Perform alterations on the airframe by utilizing structural repair manuals and/or blueprints or technical drawings
  • Perform other work on the refurbished/conversion aircraft as directed
  • Install, alter and repair sheet metal products systems utilizing blueprints, drawings and work orders.
  • Plan and coordinate tasks and amount of material required for performance of work.
  • Prepare and implement equipment based on need. Including, but not limited to power saws, drill presses, hand and power shears, pan and box brakes, lockformers, cleat benders, and rollers to cut, punch, thread and form sheet metal.
  • Coordinate and assemble sheet metal products.
  • Quality Assurance - operational checks of sheet metal installations to determine quality and any necessary corrective action that may need to be taken.
  • Other activities and projects as approved

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Education to meet licenses required (see below)
  • 2-5 years in aircraft sheet metal modification
  • Four (4) years of experience in sheet metal installation and fabrication.
  • Maintenance experience related specifically to sheet metal products
  • Proven working knowledge and experience in ability to read and interpret blue prints accurately
  • Ability to troubleshoot service issues with systematic, thoughtful, timely and effective solutions and procedures
  • Demonstrate proper and safe use of tools and related equipment
  • Experience in providing quality, professional customer-related services
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively individually as well as in a team environment
  • Must meet the requirements of Airport Authority to be receive a badge and have no ramp restrictions

Communication Skills: Must be able to read and speak English. Must be able to communicate effectively with other personnel. Mathematical Skills: Basic math skills. Reasoning Ability Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Budget Responsibility: Assist department managers in maintaining a specified budget. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • A P License desired
  • Must possess and maintain a current and valid driverrsquo;s license

Computer Skills: Basic computer aptitude preferred. Physical RequirementsMust be able to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. Occasional periods of walking, sitting, rotation, bending, pushing, pulling, and reaching.Occasionally lifting up to 25 lbs, and frequently lifting up to 10 lbs.Work EnvironmentFrequent exposure to general shop conditions, engine noise.Frequent exposure to aircraft exhaust, moving mechanical parts, lubricants, metals, and solvents.Frequent exposure to seasonal weather.What We Offer
