Sheet Metal Subassembler II - Cherokee Fuselage- 1st Shift (Full Time)Department: All Openings, Manufacturing - Experienced, Manufacturing - Entry LevelAssists the Supervisor in the production of high-quality aircraft parts assemblies following Piper Drawings, Process Specifications (PPS) and other manufacturing instructions. Assists in meeting or exceeding planned production and delivery schedules while maximizing company resources to achieve company goals.

Essential Job Functions: Performs or assists the Supervisor in the following tasks:
Build multiple aircraft subassemblies with minimal quality defects at a satisfactory productivity rate.
Inspect and buying off own and other teammates work using Piper inspection certifications.
Participate in efforts to resolve quality concerns in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Assist with performing Material Review Board and Standard repairs.
Support continuous improvement efforts to improve the teams performance including schedule delivery, reduction of late work, elimination of quality defects scrap, increasing productivity and generating cost reductions.
Ability to and willingness to receive and share practical knowledge, train, and mentor teammates within career path to perform necessary job functions and requirements in order to attain satisfactory levels of performance and production effectivity.
Adhere, maintain and assist teammates within career path to all departmental compliance requirements such as Safety, Environmental Protection, FOD and Tool Control, 5S and other assigned programs.
Perform duties of lower graded position within Career Path and other duties as assigned by supervision

High school diploma or equivalent
Related sheet metal assembly experience requirements:
o Sheet Metal Subassembler I: 2 years of experience
o Sheet Metal Subassembler II: 2 5 years of experience
o Senior Sheet Metal Subassembler: 5 years of experience
Ability to work scheduled shift and hours, including overtime
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Use of hand and power tools as required
Follow all safety procedures
Ability to demonstrate sound judgement and effective communication skills (written and verbal).
Adhere to Piper Drawings, Process Specifications (PPS) and other manufacturing instructions
