StandardAero Releases New STC for Viasat SATCOM Systems on Bombardier Global Aircraft

StandardAero, a provider of cockpit display upgrades, cabin connectivity upgrades and other avionics upgrades for the business aviation industry, receives supplemental type certificate (STC) approval for installing Viasat Ku, Ka or KuKa SATCOM systems on Bombardier Global 5000/6000/GEX model business jets. The system is the fastest Ka SATCOM solution currently available.

The new STC product, including radome, was certified on August 22, with the first article being completed by StandardAero’s Organizational Delegation Authorization (ODA) team, located at the company’s Springfield, IL, MRO facility. 

The Viasat product line is exclusive to StandardAero on the Global family of aircraft. Installations can be performed by any Viasat dealer. Interested owners or MROs can reach out to StandardAero for pricing.
