Stevens Aerospace to Provide Mobile AOG Teams at Major Sports Events for 2020

Stevens Aerospace and Defense Systems announces it will be providing expanded aircraft on ground (AOG) service for the most popular upcoming U.S. sporting events. Starting with the Capital One Orange Bowl on December 30 in Miami, Stevens will have teams of highly trained technical experts positioned on-site at area airports to support owner-operators traveling to these destinations.

Stevens operates permanent AOG hubs in twelve U.S. markets, spanning a crescent that stretches from the Atlantic coast to Colorado. The expanded AOG presence for popular sports events requires relocating technicians to new venues during high-traffic opportunities.

According to Randy Smith, vice president of Stevens AOG services, the company will have permanent and mobile teams set up for all the major college football bowl games, including the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl (Dec. 28, Atlanta, GA); the Capital One Orange Bowl (Dec. 30, Miami, FL); the Outback Bowl (Jan. 1, Tampa, FL); the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl (Jan. 2, Jacksonville, FL); and the National Championship game in New Orleans on Jan. 13, 2020.

In addition, Stevens will provide mobile AOG teams for Super Bowl LIV (Feb. 2, Miami, FL); the Masters (April 9-12, Augusta, GA); the Kentucky Derby (May 2, Louisville, KY); and the Charlotte Coca-Cola 600 (May 23-25, Charlotte, NC).

Stevens AOG is comprised of more than 45 licensed and trained technicians, along with fully equipped support vehicles, that provide quick-response maintenance services to aircraft across the U.S and abroad.

“Our AOG teams are an extension of the brand Stevens has built over 70 years,” says Smith. “From our four permanent facilities to our mobile teams, we’re known for professionalism, expertise and extraordinary customer engagement. These upcoming events give our customers the added confidence that we’ll be easily accessible for planned and unplanned maintenance events.”
