Our stability, resources, and respectful culture supports you in building a solid career with a great team you can count on day in and day out for the long term.StandardAero is seeking motivated, eager, and innovative students looking to join one of our A P teams for the 2026 summer term.As an intern at StandardAero, you will gain hands-on industry experience, learn from experts, and collaborate with our teams that raise the standard of excellence.Over the course of your 10-12 week internship, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Partner with an existing aerospace engine mechanic team to support the Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) operations in Dallas, TX
  • Students will work with experience engine mechanics on the various engine projects that include repair, troubleshooting, reporting and documentation processes

  • The Mechanic Trainee will learn how to perform routine maintenance, and major inspections on turbine powered aircraft engines.
  • Trouble-shooting, repair, and modification of aircraft components and engines will also be a part of this OJT program.
  • Works with hand held tooling as well as OEM tooling.
  • Use of Torque wrenches as well as precise measuring tools.
  • Balance theory and application.
  • Observes all safety, environmental and general housekeeping rules and policies.
  • May perform other duties as required by the department.

Position Requirements:

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S
  • A prospective student must meet screening and security requirements.
  • Must have basic computer knowledge.
  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have proven mechanical and technical aptitude.
  • Must have proven experience using a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Must be able to accurately read and interpret dimensions and measurements.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time daily.
  • Must be able to bend, stretch, crawl, and climb ladders in order to work on areas within the aircraft that are difficult to access.
  • Must be able to think clearly and speak intelligibly on the telephone and in person.
  • The internship term will be Summer 2026 (beginning mid - May)
  • Length of internship is between 10-12 weeks
  • Internship is located in Dallas, TX; ** students must have own lodging
  • 1 Internship slot available
