Cessna [NYSE: TXT] Citation II 550 and the 525 CJ1 business jets now have an OEM cabin lighting LED solution for replacing all of the original fluorescents. PWI has earned FAA PMA approval for all cabin configurations of the Citation II and the CJ1 models. PWI LED kits replace all fluorescents in the galley, lav and passenger cabin.

PWI develops a virus-neutralizing system for use in fighting airborne contaminants aboard commercial aircraft. The device, called Biotek Shield, is designed to be installed in the air-conditioning system of the aircraft and uses UVC (ultraviolet) light technology to neutralize pathogens like bacteria and viruses, including H1N1, SARS, West Nile, tuberculosis and coronavirus.

Without flinching, PWI’s Man Van Tran gingerly holds a fluorescent-light cylinder to a blue glowing flame. His fingers numb to the heat, he steadily blows air through a plastic tube on one end, guiding its shape. In his hand, the tube bends to his will as thousands of other fluorescent lights have done since he first started with PWI back in 1983.
