Shadin Avionics Introduces the Digital to Analog Radar Altimeter Converter Platform

Shadin Avionics, a provider in aviation technology, introduces the newest iteration of the DARALT Series of radar altimeter converters, enabling new radar altimeters to be installed in a variety of fixed-wing and rotor aircraft. Shadin’s DARALTs feature future-proof designs that adapt to evolving aviation technology such as 5G-resistant radar altimeters on aircraft with non-digital interfaces.

As Shadin Avionics prepares for a new chapter in its future products, it will be retiring a legacy product from its fuel-flow indicator product line: the Miniflo-L™. The indicator is one of three cockpit indicators that Shadin manufactures. The other two — the Digiflo-L™ and Microflo-L™ — will stay in production. Shadin’s Part 145 Repair Station still plans to support and repair the Miniflo-L, as many of the products are still in use today and will be for years to come.

Gardner Standard LLC announces the acquisition of Shadin, L.P. (d.b.a Shadin Avionics) from The Wright Group. Based in Eden Prairie, MN, Shadin Avionics maintains a rich history of designing, manufacturing and providing support services for fuel flow systems, engine trend monitoring, altitude management systems, air-data computers and other instrumentation for turbine, piston and rotor aircraft for the military, general and corporate aviation markets.
