StandardAero signs a volume purchase agreement with Gogo for delivery of AVANCE L3 and L5 systems in March, opening up more availability for operators seeking installations. The company now offers Gogo AVANCE L3 and L5 installation slots for Dassault Falcon, Bombardier, Hawker, Gulfstream, Embraer and Citation business-jet operators from the U.S. and Canada. Upgrades are managed at StandardAero’s Centers of Excellence in Houston, TX; Springfield, IL; and Augusta, GA.

PTS Aviation, LLC, a StandardAero company, signs a comprehensive three-year general terms and aircraft engine lease agreement (GTA/ELA) with a major North American Part 121 carrier, effective immediately. The initial ELA establishes the lease of one serviceable CFM56-5A1F engine for a 36-month term during a crucial period of projected air-traffic recovery and growth.

The aviation maintenance instructors at the Myrtle Beach campus of the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics (PIA) will now be able to train their students on a classic TFE731-3 airplane engine, thanks to the generosity of executive leadership at StandardAero, one of the aerospace industry’s larges

German airline Lufthansa CityLine selects StandardAero to provide support for the GE Aviation CF34-8C turbofan engines powering its fleet of MHI RJ Aviation (formerly Bombardier) CRJ900 regional jets. Under the exclusive seven-year agreement, StandardAero will support Lufthansa CityLine with a range of CF34-8C services from its overhaul facility in Winnipeg, MB, Canada. StandardAero will also be qualifying its European field-service team based in Rijen, the Netherlands, to support the CF34, thereby assuring Lufthansa CityLine of responsive, local airside assistance.

StandardAero announces it has received all required regulatory approvals and officially completed its acquisition of Signature Aviation’s Engine Repair and Overhaul (ERO) business, an engine maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) provider made up of the following five entities: Dallas Airmotive, H+S Aviation, W.H. Barrett Turbine Engine Company, International Governor Services (IGS) and International Turbine Service (ITS).

StandardAero signs its 40th Collins Aerospace Pro Line 4 to Pro Line 21 modification/upgrade on Falcon 50EX, Falcon 2000 and Falcon 2000EX aircraft. The 40th aircraft is a Falcon 50EX model and is scheduled to be completed at StandardAero’s Springfield, IL, maintenance facility.

Vietnam Airlines, the national flag carrier of Vietnam, awards StandardAero a new contract for the support of the Pratt & Whitney Canada PW127M engines powering its fleet of ATR 72-500 regional turboprops. StandardAero will support the airline from its OEM-authorized PW100 designated overhaul facility (DOF) in Gonesse, France.

Spanish regional airline Air Nostrum L.A.M. S.A. selects StandardAero to provide support services for the Pratt & Whitney PW127M engines powering its fleet of ATR 72-600 regional turboprops. Under the exclusive five-year agreement, StandardAero will provide Air Nostrum with PW127M hot section inspections (HSIs) and additional services from its OEM-authorized PW100 designated overhaul facilities (DOFs) in Gonesse, France, and Summerside, PE, Canada.

StandardAero announces it has appointed Lewis Prebble as president of the company’s Airlines & Fleets division. Prebble most recently served at Rolls-Royce as senior vice president for the Americas, where he led the company’s $1 billion airline-facing jet-engine business and was responsible for delivering comprehensive end-to-end customer services over the entire engine-product lifecycle.

StandardAero completes its 21,000th Honeywell TFE731 engine overhaul, announcing the milestone during the inaugural VBACE event. The achievement continues to reinforce the company’s global leadership in servicing the business-aviation turbofan engine.
