Textron Aviation and NetJets® announce a record-breaking fleet agreement with the option for NetJets to purchase up to 1,500 additional Cessna Citation business jets over the next 15 years. This agreement extends NetJets’ existing fleet agreement and includes options for an increasing number of aircraft each year, enabling NetJets to expand its fleet with Cessna Citation Ascend, Citation Latitude and Citation Longitude aircraft. In addition to the agreement, NetJets has been named the fleet launch customer for Textron Aviation’s newest jet, the Citation Ascend.

Textron Aviation announces the company is adding 16,000 square feet to its Interior Manufacturing Facility (IMF) to support growing demand for unique and custom Cessna and Beechcraft aircraft interiors. The expansion enables Textron Aviation to streamline production processes by centralizing machinery within the space to support efficient interior manufacturing for its entire lineup of Cessna Citation jets, as well as Beechcraft King Air and Cessna SkyCourier turboprop aircraft.

Textron Aviation announces an upgrade for its Beechcraft King Air 260 and 360 turboprops with the introduction of new CoolView® Windows, designed to minimize heat transfer into the cabin on the ramp and offer an unprecedented level of passenger comfort and cabin cooling. Beginning in early 2024, all new King Air aircraft will be first in the category to be equipped with CoolView Windows, manufactured by Lee Aerospace.

McCauley Propeller Systems announces that its newest C780 propeller for the Beechcraft King Air B300 series, featuring four aluminum swept blades and a 105-inch diameter, has successfully achieved certification from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

Textron Aviation announces it has been awarded a contract by AvMet International, LLC (AvMet), based in Fargo, ND, for one Beechcraft King Air 360CHW (cargo door, heavy weight) and four Beechcraft King Air 260 aircraft. The Beechcraft King Air fleet will support the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s National Center for Meteorology program for cloud seeding.

Textron Aviation announces the recent delivery of the first passenger unit of the twin-engine, large-utility turboprop, the Cessna SkyCourier, for use by Western Aircraft, Inc., doing business in Hawaii as Lāna’i Air. The company offers luxury air service connecting Oahu to the island of Lāna’i.

Textron Aviation announces the 100th production unit of the company’s flagship Cessna Citation Longitude business jet rolled out of the factory and is expected to deliver later this year. Textron Aviation employees celebrated the significant milestone with a special celebration at Textron Aviation’s headquarters in Wichita. 

Textron Aviation is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its Zurich and Düsseldorf Service Centers joining its global customer support network. Employees marked the milestone anniversary with celebrations at each location earlier this month. Located at Zurich Airport (ZRH) in Switzerland and Düsseldorf International Airport (DUH) in Germany, the service centers are part of the company’s extensive global service network designed to support customers wherever they are in the world.

Textron Aviation announces it is now offering a gravel kit for its new twin-engine, large-utility Cessna SkyCourier turboprop. The kit gives customers the flexibility to operate their aircraft in and out of unimproved runways around the world. First deliveries of the SkyCourier with the installed option will commence later this month.

Textron Aviation announces that an electrically driven air conditioning system will soon be a standard feature on all new production Beechcraft King Air 360 aircraft. This new feature provides cooled air throughout the cabin while the aircraft is on the ground and in flight, enhancing passenger and crew comfort. Deliveries with the new air conditioning system are expected to begin in the coming months.
