Aircraft Electronics Association (AEA)

The Aircraft Electronics Association, in partnership with Fastport, announces it has been recognized by the United States Department of Labor as a Registered Apprenticeship Sponsor, marking a major milestone in the association’s commitment to workforce development and the long-term success of aviation maintenance organizations across the country.

The Aircraft Electronics Association's Educational Foundation announces the names of the individuals who were awarded scholarships for the 2025-26 academic year. Since its inception, the AEA has awarded more than $1.5 million in scholarships.

The Aircraft Electronics Association announces the recipients of the annual Avionics Training Excellence Award, which recognizes AEA member companies for their total commitment to continued education as evidenced by participation in AEA-approved training. A total of 43 member companies are receiving the 2024 AEA Avionics Training Excellence Award.

Private pilots and corporate operators now have the ability to easily locate AEA member companies through iFlightPlanner. This new service will help thousands of pilots find an avionics shop in the United States through iFlightPlanner’s web-based platforms, including iFlightPlanner for AOPA and mobile apps for iOS. The collaboration is expected to expand to additional countries in the future.

AeroEducate, EAA’s free online education program, adds three collaborators to its list of educational content providers. This partnership aims to tackle an ever-growing need for aviation education and interactive programming for young people.
