At the BAE SYSTEMS, INC facility in Huntsville, we are looking for a Test Technician II to join the manufacturing team. In this role, you will perform both automated and manual test procedures on state-of-the-art electronics that directly support America’s warfighter. You will ensure the products we make, are of the highest quality and have meet the standards required to “Protecting Those Who Protect Us”. The ideal candidate for this job has excellent attention to detail, enjoys solving challenging problems and is able to follow written procedures and abide by their guidelines. Key Responsibilities:

  • Experience performing operational testing using clearly outlined processes and procedures.
  • Approves / rejects test results. Records test data and submit test failure/acceptance reports. Notifies supervisor/Engineering of unusual conditions or undesirable trends.
  • Interpret test data and checks results against specifications, test procedures and data sheets.
  • Aligns and adjusts subassemblies and/or systems in accordance with test procedures and data sheets to comply with established specifications and acceptable performance.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.
  • Able to train on 1st shift until proficient in role (expect 4-5 months)
Requirements: 

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Prior experience following precise written instruction
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Solid communication skills
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Must be able to lift 40lbs unassisted
  • General knowledge of hand tool, and have basic computer skills
  • Must have a positive attitude and be willing to learn new skills

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Familiar with the basics of computer operation
  • Able to work in a flexible environment
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing
  • 5S/7S practices such as “Clean as you go”
  • Ability to attain a Secret Clearance is strongly preferred

Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $42436 - $67898Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
