Receives, stores, and issues hand tools, machine tools, dies, replacement parts, shop supplies and equipment, such as measuring devices, in an industrial establishment. The Tools and Parts Attendant does the following keeps records of tools issued to and returned by workers, searches for lost or misplaced tools, prepares periodic inventory or keeps perpetual inventory and requisitions stock as needed, unpacks and stores new equipment; visually inspects tools or measures with micrometer for wear or defects and reports damaged or worn-out equipment to superiors; coats tools with grease or other preservative, using a brush or spray gun, and attaches identification tags or engrave identifying information on tools and equipment using electric marking tool.
Additional Qualifications requirement: Must be able to identify broken tooling or equipment and must notify site lead or COR upon discovery of the missing or broken item.
Shift: Day shift, Monday - Thursday (0645-1730)

Salary: $17.41
Additional: Health Welfare rate of $4.60 for every hour worked that is used for medical expenses and any unused funds will roll over into your 401K.

Requirements: 
  • Ability to identify specific items or suitable substitutes from descriptions of their intended use.
  • Ability in determining when tools and equipment should be sent for test, repair, and calibration.
  • Determines from records such errors as improper item issue/turn-in credit, and the failure of records to show items have been sent for repair.
  • Skill in identifying and establishing special storage locations.
  • Ensures project material is separated from regularly stocked items.
  • Ability to determine stock levels.
  • Knowledge of munitions forecasting in accordance with major command guidance.
  • Thorough understanding of CE trade tools and special deployable assets.
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental and safety requirements.
  • Understands CE SORTS reporting requirements.
  • Certified to train personnel in the operation of special purpose vehicles.
  • Knowledge of communication devices and etiquette.
  • Must be familiar with various aircraft loading requirements.
  • Requires specialized knowledge of various pallet configurations.
  • Knowledge of a wide variety of specialized CE automated data processing applications.

Site entry requirements to include Common Access Cards (CACs), line badges, etc.
