True Blue Power Introduces New Emergency Battery Power Supply for Cessna Citations
True Blue Power introduces the company’s new TS28 Emergency Battery Power Supply (EBPS). Designed for a 28V electrical bus, the TS28 provides DC power for aircraft loads, such as emergency lighting and critical equipment in the event of main aircraft power failure. It is a direct replacement for Radiant Battery Power Supply (CBS28-1) on Citation 550/560/650/680/680A/700 aircraft.
The TS28 reduces cost for aircraft operators by delivering superior quality, longer life, and easy field replacement of the unit’s battery pack. Benefits of the TS28 on Citation aircraft include:
- longer life: 4 – 6 years battery pack life
- reduced maintenance cost: 2-year capacity check
- higher battery capacity
- no memory effect
The True Blue Power TS28 features nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) battery technology, offering improved performance, battery life, and more energy per cell compared to competing battery chemistries, including nickel-cadmium (NiCad). The TS28 is more environmentally friendly and provides significantly better dispatch reliability, with no memory effect and increased capacity.
The TS28 is easy to install and designed with a rugged, metal chassis and 4-pin Mil-Spec, circular-style connector for electrical interface. Only four threaded fasteners are needed for installation. The easily removable, rechargeable battery pack shortens maintenance timelines and extends product life. The TS28 features a two-year maintenance cycle with a full charge and discharge capacity check.
The True Blue Power TS28 Emergency Battery Power Supply will be on display throughout the Aircraft Electronics Association (AEA) International Convention and Trade Show at Booth #413, March 19-22.
