Virgin Atlantic Renews Osprey Flight Solutions Partnership to Strengthen Aviation Risk Management

Virgin Atlantic renews its partnership with Osprey Flight Solutions (Osprey), an aviation security and risk management firm, extending its five-year relationship for a further three years to support safe, efficient and effective global operations.

As airlines face evolving operational pressures, from regulatory complexity to shifting geopolitical tensions, intelligence has become an essential tool for maintaining business continuity and mitigating risks. Virgin Atlantic’s daily security process includes the use of Osprey’s platform, enabling its teams to assess risks quickly, adapt flight planning in real time, and avoid disruption.

Nigel Williams, global head of Security, Virgin Atlantic, says, “The growing geopolitical instability has made Osprey’s aviation risk platform a must-have for us. As an airline, we have a responsibility to our passengers in ensuring they are protected during their journey. The unrivalled insight Osprey delivers is absolutely vital for running our business securely, giving us the confidence to make timely, informed decisions that keep our operations running smoothly.”

Andrew Nicholson, chief executive officer, Osprey Flight Solutions, says, “We’ve seen an increase in airspace closures and disruptions that have impacted not only airlines but airports, business-aviation operators, and insurance companies. Virgin Atlantic’s renewal underlines the fundamental role intelligence plays in modern aviation operations, and we’re proud of the support we’ve provided through our longstanding relationship with the airline.”

Nicholson adds, “By embedding intelligence at the core of its operations, Virgin Atlantic has established itself as a leader in overflight risk management and created a model for how airlines can mitigate both economic and passenger disruption.”

Osprey will be hosting its World Overflight Risk Conference 2026 from April 20-22 in Malta, bringing together global leaders to shape the future of aviation resilience. For more information, visit https://www.worconference.com/event/worc-2026.
