Aircraft Maintenance Technician - 5k Sign-on Bonus
VDCI is currently hiring for a Full-Time Aircraft Maintenance Technician in the Bastrop, LA area!
- Sign On Bonus Offered for $5000. A P License required!
- Relocation Assistance Available! Very Negotiable.
- This is an hourly based position that will pay between $25.00 - $32.00 per hour. With an IA (Inspection Authorization), this position will pay up to $34.00 per hour.
- Overtime hours available during our busier season from June - September.
What do our Aircraft Maintenance Technicians do?
An Aircraft Maintenance Technician performs all field and other related work required to service each of the companyrsquo;s customers and to help the business grow by performing the following duties personally.
- Perform efficient troubleshooting, aircraft maintenance, and repair in accordance with applicable regulations, manufacturerrsquo;s instructions, and company policies
- Perform inspections and maintenance on all planes including: Piper Aztec PA23-250, Piper Navajo Chieftain PA31-350, Cessna 188, Air Tract 502B
- Ensure consistent, accurate aircraft maintenance records by properly documenting completing required forms, computer entries, and logbook entries
- Follow all policies and procedures
- Keep a clean and orderly work environment
- Perform job duties in a safe manner
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Is willing to do what it takes to get the job done with a positive attitude
- Knowledge of light twin aircraft
What do you need?
- (A P) License - required
- 1 year of direct expereince working on single or twin engine Lycoming or Continental engines - preferred
- Expereince working with sheet metal, riveting, managing sheet metal repair projects on aircrafts - preferred
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Have proficient writing and verbal skills
- Available to work Monday-Friday and Saturdays as needed
- Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs.
- The work requires strenuous physical exertion and the employee may be required to drive, stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel and crouch for extended periods of time, as well as see, talk, hear and use hands and arms to grasp, handle, reach and feel.
- Knowledge and understanding of FAA airworthiness requirements
- Knowledge and understanding of FAA part 91 required
- Must pass pre-employment background screen and drug test
- Must possess a valid driverrsquo;s license and pass motor vehicle record search
