As an Avionics Technician, you will be responsible for performing essential maintenance, installation, and repair work on a variety of aircraft systems.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform avionics maintenance, installation, testing, troubleshooting, and repair in strict accordance with FCC, FAA, and company regulations and policies.
  • Interpret and work from moderately complex technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, and maintenance manuals.
  • Route and install wiring systems precisely per technical drawings and specifications.
  • Utilize advanced skills in wiring installation, repair, soldering, and crimping techniques.
  • Maintain and calibrate specialized test equipment, tools, and technical publications.
  • Guide and mentor junior technicians, sharing knowledge and promoting best practices.
Requirements: 

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Typically 10 or more years of relevant avionics experience. A higher-level degree may substitute for experience, and related experience may be considered in lieu of required education.
  • Must possess your own tools in good working order.
  • Advanced ability to understand, interpret, and work from complex technical documents.
  • Proven, advanced skills in avionics installation tooling, wiring, soldering, and crimping.
  • Ability to route wires per technical drawings.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with FCC regulations and a FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License (GROL).
  • Experience mentoring or guiding subordinate technicians.
  • Basic understanding of test equipment such as spectrometers, oscilloscopes, and Pitot-static systems.
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, with the US Department of Defense, or US Military.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance.
