Responsibilities:

  • Install retrofit kits on Stryker vehicles according to detailed technical instructions.
  • Perform scheduled (preventive/periodic) maintenance per manufacturer requirements and unscheduled (corrective/emergent) maintenance as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose complex mechanical, electronic, and software systems within the Stryker family of vehicles.
  • Ensure adherence to OSHA, ANSI, ASME, and FAR standards and contract requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with IETM guidelines during repairs and upgrades.
  • Conduct field-level repairs in both improved/unimproved maintenance facilities and confined spaces.
  • Maintain proper housekeeping standards, support team collaboration, and uphold high safety and operational performance.
  • Fulfill administrative and technical reporting duties related to contract requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of vehicle readiness and sustainment.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree or technical certification preferred.
  • 2–5 years of relevant mechanic experience (military or commercial); military vehicle maintenance strongly preferred.
  • U.S. military school-trained wheeled vehicle mechanic preferred:
    • Army MOS: 63B, 63S, 63W, 63B MCM
    • Marine Corps MOS: 2147, 3521, 3522, 3524
  • Experience on Stryker, LAV 2.5, or LAV III platforms preferred.
  • Proven ability to:
    • Work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Prioritize and perform tasks across multiple workstations.
    • Work in confined spaces and under extended, high-pressure schedules.
  • Must meet and maintain ASR (Anthropometric Size Requirement) compliance per SP 2-644.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and able to access U.S. military installations.
  • Must be able to:
    • Lift and carry up to 70 lbs (e.g., toolbox or parts) for distances up to 50 feet.
    • Demonstrate manual dexterity in both hands.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in multicultural environments or overseas field operations.
  • Field maintenance or depot-level experience.
  • Familiarity with digital technical manuals and military maintenance documentation.
