Job Title: E4B General MechanicJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated General Mechanic (Associate) to join our team in San Antonio, TX. This role involves maintaining, repairing, and modifying various aircraft structures and components to ensure optimal performance and safety.Responsibilities

  • Maintain, repair, and modify aircraft structures and structural components.
  • Maintain and repair aircraft components, including flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components.
  • Utilize airframe and power plant systems to diagnose equipment malfunctions and restore operational condition.
  • Interpret technical documentation, blueprints, and manufacturer manuals.
  • Perform close tolerance drilling, reaming, removal, and installation on critical support structures and fracture critical areas.
  • Locate blind holes necessary for installation of new structural items to existing structures.
  • Perform sealing, painting, shimming, and preserving of structures in accordance with standard repair processes.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, process specifications, and retrofit requirements for structural modification/repair.
  • Use tooling assemblies and fixtures for depot-level modification and repair of structural parts.
  • Ascend and descend vertical work ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift loads of approximately 35lbs.
  • Ensure a safe working environment through Hazardous Energy and Lock Out/Tag systems applications.
  • Assist team members (General Mechanics, Avionics, Electrics) to meet cost/schedule targets.

Essential Skills

  • 4+ years of experience in relevant duties for satisfactory performance.
  • Ability to work variable shifts, including scheduled and unscheduled overtime, weekends, and holidays.
  • Experience in a technical or mechanical field using basic hand tools.
  • Experience with various aircraft exterior and interior systems, including hydraulic, flight control, monuments, landing gears, fuel systems, and engines.
  • Experience in aircraft repair, modification, and tooling operations and processes.

Additional Skills Qualifications

  • Experience with heavy maintenance on aircraft.
  • Ability to operate a forklift and riding type electric-powered elevating equipment.
  • Experience with Depot Level/Heavy Structures maintenance.
  • Experience working with titanium aircraft structures.
  • Experience working on or around Executive Fleet Platforms.
  • FAA certification in Airframe and/or Power Plant license is preferred.
  • Proficient in computer skills, including aircraft-related systems and basic office software.

The role involves working in a factory production environment that includes sitting, walking, bending, kneeling, stair climbing, and operating hand and power tools. The job requires the ability to stand for extended periods and work in elevated or confined spaces. Physical demands include lifting up to 35 pounds, with occasional lifting of weights greater than 35 pounds requiring a two-person lift. Work involves exposure to noise, sealants, solvents, and atmospheric conditions, and requires handling hazardous materials. The role includes frequent reaching overhead, walking, and standing on various surfaces.Job Type LocationThis is a Contract position based out of San Antonio, Texas.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $43.05 - $43.05/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
