The Avionics Maintenance Technician performs inspection, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, removal and replacement of aircraft instrument and avionics components and systems using basic hand tools and test equipment to meet manufacturer's specifications, FAR's, industry standards in a safe and organized work area.

Essential Functions:

Candidates will be required to travel to other client sites to perform AOG Technician work. Will primarily perform maintenance on Falcons, Gulfstream, Bombardier, and Learjet's. Our client has taken on new contracts and is looking to add to their AOG team. Will be required to travel, and must be flexible with shift. They will be trained and report to there Lincoln, Nebraska facility.

SUMMARY: The A P Technician repairs, troubleshoots, inspects and performs maintenance on Customer aircraft. Performs and documents all work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required.

DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES:

Aircraft Mechanics/ Technicians inspect, diagnose, repair, and monitor aircraft and aircraft systems such as structure, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, engines, power, and electrical/ electronic systems and components as assigned to work centers.

Assist aircraft mechanics/ technicians in servicing, maintaining, repairing, and overhauling aircraft and aircraft systems which may include dismantling, repairing, overhauling, and replacing parts and assemblies. Performs duties such as facilitating materials, tools, and supplies to the mechanic, and cleaning work areas and machines, tools, and equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ DUTIES:

Aircraft Mechanics/ Technicians inspect, diagnose, repair, and monitor aircraft and aircraft systems such as structure, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, engines, power, and electrical/ electronic systems and components as assigned to work centers.

  • Perform general mechanical functions on aircraft and related systems. This shall include, but not be limited to items such as removal and installation of panels and components, repair work and sheet metal repair or installation.
  • Troubleshooting and evaluation of systems on the aircraft when designated.
  • Compiles and records production data for industrial establishments to compare records and reports on volume of production, consumption of material, quality control, and other aspects of production.
  • Calculates such factors and rates, using a computer, calculator, and/or spreadsheets.
