The Student Learner will augment their pursuit of an Airframe Powerplant (AP) education with aviation industry experience through the observation of workers performing aviation maintenance and program operations.

Support Equipment Mechanic repairs to Ground Support Equipment (GSE) IAW applicable processes and policies. Troubleshoots malfunctions of GSE using conventional and digital multi-meters, voltmeters, ohmmeters, frequency counters, oscilloscopes, circuit card testers, transistor testers, and hand tools.

Amentum is currently seeking a qualified Aircraft Mechanic 1 specialized in Avionics Communication/Navigation/Identification/Electronic/Counter measures/RADAR and Weapon Control Systems (EA-18G experience is required) in support of the U.S Naval Air Station maintenance operations at NAS Whidbey Island.

Classification Description Repairs, maintains, and inspects aircraft structures, systems, components, and related equipment under the technical direction of an Aircraft Mechanic, Aircraft Mechanic (Senior) or Lead. Removes and installs aircraft components. Conducts functional tests of repaired components and systems. Special certifications may be required.
