This mechanic will maintain, repair, and modify aircraft structures and structural components of moderate difficulty, maintain and repair aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components, apply technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions and applies require

  • Routing of wire harness to supports per blueprint instruction client specifications for the 787 program.
  • Building connectors, splicing wires, crimping, and terminating wires.
  • Installing connectors to receptacles and electronic components.
  • Performing repairs, and rework processes to incorporate authorized changes outlined by engineering instructions.

Principal AccountabilitiesJOB DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIESAircraft Mechanics/ Technicians inspect, diagnose, repair and monitor aircraft and aircraft systems such as structure, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, engines, power, and electrical/ electronic systems and components as assigned to work centers.

Knowledge of COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 Series and other applicable Navy Instructions, Manufacturer Manuals and Company Instructions.Must have a good working knowledge of type aircraft maintenance and be able to demonstrate maintenance skills and knowledge of aircraft systems.Must be able to read, speak, write legibly and understand the English language.

Job Responsibilities: The position of ldquo;Aircraft Mechanicrdquo; requires the following:

  • Performs operational checks, bench checks, troubleshoots, and isolates malfunctions in complex aircraft avionics equipment.
  • Uses complex test equipment such as continuous wave and pulse generators, time domain reflectometers, multi-trace oscilloscopes, frequency counters, multi-meters and deviation meters, and specialized test equipment to perform operational checks.

Position Overview:Performs repair and replacement of Airframe and Power Plant systems components and accessories. All work is performed in accordance with applicable manufacturers maintenance manuals, company directives, and other approved data.

Basic Function Summary:Provides line services in support of scheduled flight operations. These services include inspection, servicing, cleaning, launching, and recovery of aircraft. Will be required to operate self-propelled ground equipment during daily routine. Services are primarily performed outside. Must complete training program and be certified in writing as a plane captain.
