In this role, youll play a pivotal part in maintaining and repairing the SSUSA building and all associated building and manufacturing equipment. Must be able to install, repair and maintain all machinery and mechanical and electrical equipment with supervision of a Maintenance Journeyman, and is able to remove, repair, rebuild and replace worn or broken parts on machines and equipment.2. Must be able to level and align lathes, mills and other equipment and perform functional tests of rebuilt machines.3. Must be able to use a variety of precision hand tools and measuring instruments related to the job and to work from blueprints and plan the sequence of operations of a maintenance assignment.4. Must have working knowledge of all metal fabrication and machine shop tools and automotive repair methods.5. Must be able to perform other duties as required.Employee is expected to follow all safety regulations, keep work area in a clean and orderly condition, and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required for the assigned work area(s). Performs safety related duties as assigned.DECISION-MAKING AUTHORITY1. Employee is responsible for determining if she/he has adequate information and materials to complete tasks as directed.2. Selection of methods and sequences within limits of the specific jobs assigned.Decisions/Problems referred to supervisor1. Problems with equipment or machinery.2. Quality problems.3. Conflicting priorities.4. Incorrect documentation.5. Training issues.
