- Direct and assign work shifts for optimal production schedules.
- Review maintenance requirements, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources efficiently.
- Evaluate completed work for adherence to methods, procedures, and practices.
- Communicate with management regarding scheduling, aircraft needs, and manpower.
- Make hiring recommendations and participate in recruitment.
- Address performance issues and handle discipline review processes.
- Mentor and train mechanics, tracking developmental progress.
- Oversee maintenance and security of aircraft and company assets at field bases.
- Prepare and certify reports and logs in compliance with FAA regulations.
- Coordinate with management to ensure timely job completion.
- Perform mechanical duties as time permits.
- Ensure adherence to Job Safety Analysis and Safety Management System protocols.
Requirements:
- High school diploma required.
- FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Certified Mechanic.
- Knowledge of maintenance manuals, specifications, and Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Basic managerial and communication skills.
- Competence in using computer systems.
- Clear verbal communication skills (in-person and via phone).
- Ability to pass pre-placement physical exam, fitness test, drug screening, and background check.
