Job Description Microwave Test Technician IIIOverview: The qualified candidate will perform RF system testing and electro-mechanical troubleshooting for both sub-assemblies and upper-level assembly production deliverables. A high-level aptitude for RF troubleshooting and signal processing is desired.Perform Test and Tune Operations on Microwave Assemblies prior to Seam Seal. Create tuning strategy for assemblies based on test results. This strategy may include inspection, remove and replace of some components and/or manipulation of some ribbon bonds or coils. Perform Final Test on Sealed Assemblies. Feedback of issues to the assembly team would be expected. Calibrations of Test Stands will be performed. Cross training on other processes will also happen over time. Position is on first shift with a flexible 9/80 work scheduled and every other Friday off!Additional Responsibilities Tasks and Skills

  • Use all commercial test equipment such spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, power meters, oscilloscopes and multi meters.
  • Experience reviewing and navigating test-plans, work-plans, blueprints, schematics, engineering directives and change orders
  • Test and troubleshoot sub-assembly and upper assemblies with precision according to system specifications.
  • Identifies electro-mechanical defects or failures at the system level and follows company procedures operational sheets to remedy
  • May interface with RF engineering regarding technical issues and system resolutions.
  • Basic computer literate and able to navigate production related software
  • Experience digitally entering and retrieving information for configuration and traceability purposes
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or directe
  • Experience working in a team environment and train others as required
Requirements: 

Required Education, Experience, Skills

  • Highschool diploma OR GED
  • 2-3 years work experience in testing AC/DC electronics devices area in a production line atmosphere
  • Basic math skills
  • Strong desire to learn on the job
  • Strong organizational, planning and analytical skills
  • Must be able to organize to meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of ESD product handling, standard safety procedures and PPE requirements
  • Must demonstrate effective verbal, written and communication skills
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs

Preferred Education, Experience, Skills

  • 2 year associates degree in electronics or equivalent industry experience
  • 5 years or more work experience in testing electronics or RF devices in a production line atmosphere
  • Experience using high frequency electronic instruments, such as oscillators, audio oscillators, standing wave amplifiers, multimeters, phase sensitive demodulators, volt-ohm meters, logic and network analyzers, AF and RF signal generators and wave meters. Ability to measure and calculate insertion loss and VSWR of a microwave device
  • Able to utilize circuit diagrams as part of circuit analysis and should be fluent in resolving electronic circuit problems
  • Ability to flex hours for shift work and to work overtime would also be preferred
  • Able to troubleshoot uniqe product and process issue and ability to apply previous learning

Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $56195 - $89912Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures.
