MRO Insider Launches Live Map Capability on Platform

MRO Insider announces that the platform has launched a live map feature on its service quoting platform that will allow operators to request quotes from AOG, FBO or detailing providers on demand, based on live-updated locations.

Andy Nixon, president of MRO Insider, explains, “Our platform traditionally allowed users to send requests based by airport identifier and automatically notified providers located within a specific radius. With our map feature, users will be able to find the location on the map where they need service and send direct requests to providers for AOG support, FBO pricing or detailing needs through our network.”

Providers are notified through both email and mobile push notification that an operator has submitted a request for service through the platform. The provider can then respond through the platform to the operator, providing pricing, timing and contact information.

Nixon further explains, “Based on feedback from our customers, we discovered there are times when operators would prefer to directly request a quote from a specific provider. Creating a map and showing all 250 providers we have on the network seemed like the best way to put the power back into the hands of the maintenance controllers and schedulers/dispatchers who are proactively searching for solutions for their maintenance, fuel and appearance needs.”
