We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structural Technician IV to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the precision assembly and modification of major structural assemblies for aerospace vehicles. Your expertise will be critical in translating complex blueprints into high-quality fabrications, ensuring all work meets stringent quality and safety standards.
Multiple seats available in both Colorado Springs, CO. and Hagerstown, MD.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform major assembly structures and minor part-fitting operations including filing, sawing, burring, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, and reaming.
  • Read, understand, and interpret moderately complex technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and publications.
  • Complete installations per technical drawings while maintaining precise edge distance and pitch tolerances.
  • Align parts on jigs and aerospace vehicles using templates and fixtures.
  • Measure parts with micrometers, calipers, and other calibrated tools to verify dimensions and ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Modify incomplete and complete assemblies, incorporating engineering changes directly into the structure.
  • Update job status in the operations database and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
  • Ensure effective communication and representation between team members, team leads, quality control, and engineering.
  • Perform various maintenance duties and adhere to all safety protocols.

Physical/Mental/Emotional Requirements:

  • Frequently walk, sit, stand, and climb stairs.
  • Frequently repeat same hand, arm, and finger motions; must have strong finger and hand dexterity.
  • Frequently requires close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to differentiate between colors.
  • Frequently requires the ability to discern different tones and volumes.
  • Frequently lift or carry up to 50 lbs.

Working Conditions:

  • Frequently exposed to outdoor elements (high/low temperatures, sun, rain/snow, etc.)
  • Occasionally exposed to fumes or hazardous chemicals/materials.
  • Frequently exposed to loud noises.
Requirements: 

We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Aircraft Inspector III to join our dynamic team. In this critical, safety-sensitive role, you will be the final authority in ensuring the airworthiness and integrity of our aircraft, systems, and components. Your expertise will safeguard compliance with stringent manufacturer specifications and FAA regulations, playing a vital role in the safety and security of our operations.
Key Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed in-process and final inspections of aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment, and parts.
  • Exercise inspection authority to approve for return to service of minor work (non-337 form).
  • Identify, document, and report any and all breaches of airworthiness standards.
  • Conduct thorough audits of maintenance records, work orders, and documentation for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Inspect structures, components, and systems to ensure they meet all required quality and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to address, rectify, and sign off on any non-conformances.

This is a Safety Sensitive Position responsible for aviation-related duties, inspecting vehicles and equipment, and handling hazardous materials.
Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Typically 5 or more years of relevant aircraft inspection experience. (A higher-level degree may substitute for experience; related experience may be considered in lieu of required education).
  • Active, current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant (A P) certification.
  • Thorough knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment, and parts.
  • Understanding and practical experience with product audit and inspection processes and procedures.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Inspection Authorization (IA) Designation.
  • Basic understanding of 14 CFR Chapter I (Federal Aviation Regulations).
  • Understanding of civil or government aviation inspection operations and/or FAA Repair Station operations.
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense (DoD), or US Military.
