STS Technical Services is hiring Artillery Mechanics in El Paso, Texas.
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Artillery Mechanic with 4–6 years of hands-on experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heavy artillery systems. The ideal candidate will have direct U.S. Army background as a 91H (Track Vehicle Repairer), 91P (Artillery Mechanic, legacy MOS), 91M (Bradley Fighting Vehicle System Maintainer), or 91B (Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic).
This role requires expertise in hydraulics, electronics, recoil systems, and fire control systems, along with the ability to perform both field-level and sustainment maintenance.
Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair towed and self-propelled artillery systems, howitzers, mortars, rocket and missile launchers, and related equipment
  • Conduct preventive maintenance checks and services (PMCS) to ensure artillery systems remain fully operational
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, and mechanical subsystems
  • Perform component replacement, including engines, transmissions, breech mechanisms, recoil assemblies, and targeting systems
  • Maintain accurate technical records, inspection reports, and maintenance logs
  • Provide support in both field and shop environments to ensure mission readiness

Qualifications

  • 4–6 years of direct experience as an Artillery Mechanic or in a related MOS
  • U.S. Army MOS alignment: 91H, 91P (legacy), 91M, or 91B preferred
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and fire control systems
  • Ability to read and apply technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools
  • Experience working in both garrison and field conditions
