Job Purpose As a Maintenance Control Centre Controller you will manage Maintenance Control Centre (MCC) administration team and oversee daily operations for efficiency and compliance. You will be accountable for the data analysis, trend identification, and KPI tracking with recommendations. Ensure the Engineering Procedures Manual pertaining to MCC meet the GCAA CAR145 standards. Identify and address core issues, coordinating with engineering and stakeholders for corrective actions.In this role you will:

  • Monitor Manage the manpower requirements and optimal demand from capacity balancing, ensuring regulatory requirements are complied with in terms of availability of correct type rated resource and minimal aircraft to manpower ratio. Manage the compliance requirements for all MCC certifying and non-certifying staff for mandatory and specialised training needs.
  • Manage the MCC administration teams and function and oversee the day-to-day operation and continually review the systems and procedures to ensure efficient running of allocated activities, consistent workload distribution and implementation of necessary improvements.
  • Review all data sources and interfaced data for anomalies and administer all key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure progress. Plan and generate departmental reports on delays, defects, damages, spares etc. Effectively guide and supervise the teams to collect the data, conduct verifications in line with standard operating procedures and ensure timely distribution.
  • Review the GCAA CAR145 Regulations Exposition Manual pertaining to MCC to ensure that all systems and procedures are compliant with regulatory standards, thereby maintaining alignment of MCC operations with established requirements.
  • Provide support to MCC management team to consistently maintain effective communications with the Outstation teams, ensuring a high standard of customer service. During irregular operations and disruption recovery, ensure that situation reports, updates, plans, and changes are communicated to and clearly understood by relevant stakeholders, and that they are implemented accordingly.
  • Develop and implement efficient processes and procedures for close monitoring of all MCC applications, software, and hardware requirement. Ensure equipment is up to date and fit for purpose. Support business changes through collaboration with IT and engineering systems.
  • Contribute to and assist with the overall operational improvements initiatives and cost optimisation by identifying process inefficiencies and operational flaws. Where anomalies are observed, ensure appropriate response to avoid future reoccurrences. Actively participate in project work aimed at improving both process and quality of operational delivery across the section.

QualificationTo be considered for the role you must meet the below requirements:

  • Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent), preferably in Engineering / IT / Administration.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Engineering or Engineering related field.
  • Exposure to Engineering / Network Control / Operations.
  • Full knowledge of aircraft systems and components.
  • Conversant with aircraft regulatory requirements and maintenance documentation.
  • Thorough knowledge of Outstation operations like engineering coverage, authorizations and equipment.
  • Good in data handling, research, and presentations.
  • Thorough knowledge of MS applications like, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Good knowledge of Engineering applications like Ultramain, EIRIS, RIS.
