Dassault Falcon Jet, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dassault Aviation, marks the opening of a major new maintenance facility at Melbourne Orlando International Airport (KMLB). This facility represents a significant expansion of Dassault’s presence in the Americas and reflects the company’s long-term commitment to customer support, operational excellence, and regional investment. It is one of the recent additions to Dassault Aviation’s global maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) network.

The D.O.M. magazine team has had a busy two days with lots of conversations at our booth, plenty of press conferences and seminars, and walking the show floor looking for new products and services for aircraft maintenance professionals.

Duncan Aviation announces that regional avionics sales manager, Tim Kelly, is transitioning to be the company’s new regional sales manager for the Great Lakes region. Kelly joined the Duncan Aviation team in May 2018 and has more than 30 years of prior aviation experience and knowledge to help support Duncan Aviation’s customers in the Great Lakes region of the United States.

Roughly 215 students from three Utah A&P schools attended a three-hour A&P open house event last week at Duncan Aviation's Provo, Utah, facility.

Duncan Aviation continues its recruitment efforts nationwide for its expanding and growing MRO services, recently holding an A&P open house at its expanding location in Provo, UT.

StandardAero’s Maryville, Tennessee, facility completes and ships its 10,000th auxiliary power unit (APU) repair since the nearly 25 years it has been providing APU MRO services to the industry. The specific 10,000th repair was on a Honeywell model 36-150RJ APU for a regional aircraft operator.

S.A.F.E. Structure Designs announces it has signed an agreement to partner with THERN in a joint effort to create a helical air winch system specifically used for aircraft support equipment that is not yet available on the market.

With the start of the new year, Lee Aerospace announces expansion of its Part 145 capabilities and its national presence across the United States. As of late December, the Lee Aerospace Part 145 Repair Station, #YLR863L, has added repair capabilities to include composite repairs on specific models for the main-entry door assembly of the HondaJet.  In addition to the existing certificate rating, which originally focused primarily on transparencies, Lee Aerospace is now expanding into other structural elements of the airframe.
