West Star announces the expansion of its Chattanooga, TN, (CHA) facility with the opening of additional leased hangar space. At 19,200 square feet, with 7,000 square feet of back shop support, the new space will be used as a dedicated Embraer support facility.

Duncan Aviation announces the opening of a new fixed location in Aurora, OR, operating under the Portland Repair Station. With space in the Charlie Hangar, conveniently located next to the only FBO on the field, Avionics crew lead, Justin Weber, will now serve Duncan Aviation’s avionics customers at the Aurora State Airport (UAO) full-time.

AAR CORP. West Star Aviation announces Eric Bollman has been promoted to Avionics team lead at its East Alton, IL, (ALN) facility. Bollman has been with West Star since 2015, being promoted through the years and previously working as an operations manager for Eco Systems. He will be responsible for all Falcon avionics projects at ALN.

Cutter Aviation announces the appointment of Matthew Olguin to general manager of its oldest FBO in Albuquerque, NM. Olguin joined the Cutter Aviation team in 2008 as a line technician where he learned the day-to-day operational aspects of running an FBO, including fuel management, customer service and more.

Continental®, a subsidiary of Continental Aerospace Technologies Holding Limited (HKEX: 232.HK), announces its efforts to expand the use of alternative fuels in select lower-compression avgas engines. Continental has submitted a formal application to the FAA that, if approved, would authorize the use of unleaded aviation gasoline in over 100 popular engine models, including select O-200s, IO-360s, O-470s and IO-470s. As the industry searches for a long-term fuel solution, Continental considers 91UL and 94UL fuel as a transitional step in a long-term strategy to reach more sustainable aviation.

Aircraft Specialties, Inc. (ASI) of Omaha, NE, expands its repair management division by bringing on a new manager, Chelse Shaff. Shaff joined the ASI family in February of this year and has since been working to develop the new role for the company. Her position further strengthens ASI’s service that assists customers in sourcing repair services as well as maintenance parts and products.

Parker Aerospace, a business segment of Parker Hannifin Corporation, a provider of motion and control technologies, announces a partnership to further the development of electric flight. Eviation Aircraft has engaged Parker Aerospace to develop six technology system packages for Alice, the first-of-its-kind all-electric commuter aircraft. The two industry leaders are now entering the design phase for the production and certification phase of Alice that will reimagine regional travel.

The FAA and EASA approve use of Dassault’s advanced dual head-up (HUD) display known as FalconEye on the company’s Falcon 8X very long range trijet, adding to the aircraft’s low-visibility operations capability. The dual HUD configuration will ultimately permit an EFVS-to-land capability in near zero-zero conditions, pending new EASA regulations.
